On initial appointments, a history and assessment will be undertaken with your pet, to assess movement, muscle mass and joint function. If time allows, an introduction to the treadmill will occur with or without water.

Follow up appointments, will entail a chat to establish how your pet was following the previous session, as well as current health and wellbeing check. Your pet will then be prepared for the treatment session, which will be designed on an individual basis. Length of time in the water and actively walking within the treadmill, will depend on your pet’s fitness and functional ability.

Post treatment, you dog will be showered and dried down. Please ensure you have a suitable coat to put on your pet post-session, to prevent your pet getting a chill, especially in the colder months. It is advisable to bring a spare towel for the trip home.

It is advisable to avoid feeding your pet for approximately 1 hour after treatment.
