I am a level 7 qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist and Hydrotherapist. I studied Veterinary Physiotherapy with the Canine and Equine Physiotherapy Training course (CEPT) gaining my post-graduate qualification from the University of Middlesex. Alongside this, I also gained my level 3 Hydrotherapy Diploma qualification, to be able to offer a comprehensive service to clients for their pets, with a hydrotherapy centre and physiotherapy clinic located near Denmead, Waterlooville, Hampshire. I am a full member of IRVAP (The Institute or Registered Veterinary Animal Physiotherapists) and RAMP (Register of Animal Practitioners).
A bit about me…
I started riding and competing horses at a young age, part-taking in pony club activities and becoming part of a successful Prince Phillip Cup team. Through the years I progressed on to showing horses at county level with many successes including at the Longines Royal International Horse Show and Horse of the Year Show. In my spare time I thoroughly enjoy taking my horses out for a long gallop along the beach.
As well as my horses, I also love spending as much time as I can with my dogs. We currently compete and train in Kennel Club and UKA agility, dabble in some gundog work and in our down time, enjoy nothing more than a walk on the beach or through the forest. My dogs have taught me so much over the years, regarding arthritis management, anxiety, reactivity, obedience and enrichment training. As a result my home is full of training toys, snuffle mats and lickit mats, as well as a garden full of agility equipment and additional enrichment games. Due to these varying sports and interests and having worked in a small animals veterinary practice for a few years, I have learnt the importance of looking after a dogs physical as well as emotional and mental needs.
In 2018, I joined the team at Canine Arthritis Management and am delighted to be able to offer advice and management of this debilitating condition. I have first hand experience of arthritis in animals, with a dog that was diagnosed at 18 months of age, as well as a horse with the condition too. Please message me for more information or to book any appointment.
Over the years I have had the love of learning and this has allowed me to expand my business and grow as a person. This is why my importance will always be aimed at making sure the animals receive the best treatment I can offer. Every animal I treat, becomes a part of my family and I hope to be able to convey that during our sessions.
